There will be a short, informal rehearsal of “Savior, Redeemer of My Soul” before Carolynn Burrup’s funeral at 9:30am January 25th in the chapel of the Starlite building (where the funeral will be held). If you can attend, great. If not, no worries. Listen to the rehearsal tracks on the earlier post here.
See you soon!

Details for Carolynn Burrup's Funeral
Carolynn Burrup's Funeral will be Saturday, January 25th at 11am in the Herriman Starlite Building located at:
12682 S. Starlite Hills Lane (6125 West) Herriman, UT 84096
There will be a viewing in that same building Friday, January 24th from 6-8pm and again on Saturday, January 25th from 9:30-10:45am.
Graveside Services will be at the Larkin Cemetery after the funeral.
We will be singing "Savior, Redeemer of My Soul" as the closing number for the funeral.
When it's time to sing, please move into the choir area and down the sides of the chapel wherever you can find a place. Please stand in our regular choral order (Soprano 1 on the right side as you face the audience, then S2, A1 and finally Alto 2 on the left side as you face the audience). Please go over your music beforehand so you remember your part even if you are standing next to someone singing another part. I will be accompanying, Elaine Grant will be playing the flute, and Amara Blackburn will be singing the solo.
Do everything you can to prepare for this event so that we don't distract from the energy of what has been going on before we sing. Logistically it will be impossible for us to rehearse beforehand and I'm confident we've done this enough to know how "We Also Sing!" makes things happen.
I'm so glad we get to sing together again and I'm so sad that it's because our Friend passed away...

Our Sweet Carolynn Burrup Passed Away
Yesterday, January 18, our Friend, We Also Sing Accompanist and Soloist Carolynn Burrup passed away. This is very hard news for so many reasons on so many levels. Carolynn truly was an amazing person and her passing leaves a large whole in so many hearts and lives.
She has asked interested and available members of We Also Sing! who sang in the choir when we performed “Savior, Redeemer of my Soul” (2013 and 2015) to sing at her funeral this Saturday, January 25. I don’t have time or location details yet (I’ll post them as soon as I do).
I know there are literally hundreds of ladies who sang in the choir over the years while Carolynn accompanied who would love to sing at her funeral. Because of space constraints in the choir area at the Chapel and no rehearsal time beforehand, it makes sense that only those who have actually sung Savior, Redeemer with We Also Sing! will be able to sing at the funeral. Of course anyone who would like to attend the funeral is absolutely welcome and encouraged to come.
Please pass this information on to women who have sung with us and especially women who sang in 2013 and 2015.
I will continue to post details as I receive them.
Much love and Aloha,
Merrilee
